The Processor

The Processor, also called the Control Processing Unit (CPU) is generally the computers brain. It accepts Data and processes it accordingly throughout the machine, generally by instructions shared in its memory. Without the Processor, the computer would not work.

There are many different types of processors. Including Single-core (one), Dual-core (two) and Quid-core (three) there is also tri-core processors, which are 4 processors in one. The other latter being multi-core as its more than one processor. Microprocessors are used in Smart Phones and sometimes in Household computers.

Processors often have to be powerful and quick because they must perform very complex calculations for the computer in a couple of seconds. The most wide-range of common processors include those from Intel and AMD.
