BIOS

The BIOS also known as the Basic input/output system.

(BIOS) is the first program that a computer runs when it is turned on. It also checks to see if all of the current computer components are working securely, and correctly. It also controls a user-interface in which it can be used to remove or attach certain computer components, as well as resetting and changing things including the time and date of the computer and any other personal attributes to the computer.
