A backup disk is a disk that contains backup Data. This can be anything from personal Data Files (such as documents) but it can also be used to store such things as even Computer Operating Systems (Windows, OSX, Linix, Ect) These are used to make sure that if your computer breaks down, or is buggy/faulty – that you have an alternative, and safe way to restore your computer to its state. Both OS and Data. Backup disks, don’t just have to be Disks however, you can also have flash/pen drives that can hold this same kind of Data, providing all of the files are there, and working.
