A USB flash drive, also known as a Pen Drive is a small portable device that includes Flash Memory with an input USB. USB Pen drives are often small memory cards with a plastic covering to protect it. Pen Drive capacity can go upwards of 300+GB, so can be very useful. They are also useful as they can be programmed to run on a certain operating system. As well as this, they can also be backed up with a certain OS, and then used as a boot device on the BIOS screen, so you’re even able to run an entire OS system from your pen drive! This is because the BIOS recognize the OS system. As the name suggests, the USB drive is inserted into the USB ports on the computer, and can be ran directly from there.
